Get ready for the shortest ride on the ride card this year to Madrid, where the Wild Hogs and Del Fuegos put Maggie’s Diner on the map. Maggie’s is no longer the diner from Wild Hogs, but you can still get your pictures taken in front of it with your bike (if parking allows) and go inside this gift shop to get a Madrid t-shirt or other souvenirs. Tour the local shops and artistry, but first, once kick stands are down at the Mineshaft, join us for a group picture and a Mad chili cheeseburger, fried green chiles, homemade onion rings or any number of other delicious dishes.

The Mineshaft has 2 indoor stages for bands and a perfect patio area for the 3rd stage offering a great place to kick back, relax and enjoy the music starting at 2:00 pm on our visit day. There is also a bed and breakfast just up the hill from the Mineshaft, owned by the sister of the Mineshaft’s owner, in case you decide to stay…or need to stay.

Jeff has planned a beautiful ride for us with mountain views mostly along twisting, winding roads for a relaxing little Saturday ride. The Cerrillos State Park is just a few miles west of Madrid for those who are working on their state park challenge too! Make your own plans for visiting the park after KSD in Madrid please.

For those who would prefer a longer ride, after KSD and a group pic ture at the Mineshaft, Jeff has also planned to take off from Madrid for more scenic riding to the Pizza Barn in Edgewood. If you are planning to go to Edgewood, do not partake of any substances, abiding by HOG rules, while continuing to ride until KSD at the Pizza Barn.
